INTRODUCTION
The Research and Development (R&D) Policy of MKSSS’s Sitabai Nargundkar College of Nursing for Women, Nagpur is designed to foster a vibrant culture of research, innovation, and scholarly excellence among faculty members and students. In alignment with the vision of Maharshi Karve Stree Shikshan Samstha (MKSSS) and the college’s mission of nurturing competent nursing professionals.

THE POLICY PROMOTES

It encourages faculty and students to actively participate in research projects, dissertations, thesis work, surveys, clinical trials, community-based studies, and interdisciplinary collaborative research.

The policy emphasizes the integration of research findings into nursing education and clinical practice to improve healthcare delivery and patient outcomes. A strong focus is placed on ethical conduct of research, ensuring that all studies involving human participants are reviewed and approved by the Institutional Ethical Committee before implementation. This ensures adherence to ethical standards, informed consent, confidentiality, and academic integrity.
The R&D Policy also promotes publication of research articles in peer-reviewed journals, presentation of papers at national and international conferences, and dissemination of innovative practices in healthcare and nursing education.
